Spring Workshops

For its Spring event the Connecticut Association of Photographers is presenting four different half-day workshops on Saturday, April 17, 2010, at the Holiday Inn in North Haven. The four workshops are:

* Pro Show Gold
* Basics of Digital Photography
* Photoshop CS3/CS4
* Photoshop Elements

Each person attending can take up to two workshops, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Cowboy Mounted Shooters Fieldtrip

Led by Olive Weingart and Audrey Weigold

On August 7, 2010 CAP members will travel to the Northeast Regional championship of the Cowboy Mounted Shooters in Northampton, MA. Mounted shooting is like barrel racing with balloons in between the barrels. The rider shoots black powder blank cartridges provided by the match directors from .45 caliber pistols at balloons and is scored on accuracy and time.

The cowboys dress much as they would in the late 1800s. They try to look as authentic to the period as possible. It should provide a great day of picture taking.
